■PRODUCTION DETAILS

A long-awaited follow up album, after her previous release in 2015.

"I wanted to make it the best pop album ever" she commented. The gipsies guitars ensemble that was part of her previous albums has been replaced by a pure pop sound provided by Argentinean rock musician, Esteban Garcia and Cathy.

"I wanted a new sound that would break the stereotype. I didn't use any lyrics that I had previously penned and I wanted to create something brand new. In order to make a really pop album, I had to carefully consider how the lyrics came across, how to do the rhyming as well as the sound.
Over the several months I was making the album, there was a lot of political wrangling between the Spanish government and Catalonia, with demonstrations, arguments and strikes…
It wasn't easy to concentrate on the album production with all this was going on. However, I managed to focus my mind on Japan (one of my favourite countries, that had asked me to make a record) and the actual process of album production allowed me to escape the reality facing Spain and allow my mind to go to a different place and dream! I hope this album will make an impression on the listeners."

......Cathy Claret.
